The first day of 2011 started smashingly well. I awoke to a quiet house thanks to a fun late night New Year’s party with friends. Armed with extra strong coffee and my glasses, I made a beeline for the computer to read the winners of the Canadian Weblog Awards. To my utter amazement, I discovered the jurors decided this blog made top three.

After jumping on my hubby and delivering my happy news, I dragged him out of bed to confirm what I suspected could be an inaccurate optical illusion read through smudgy lenses.
Nope. I read correctly.
Ever since then, I’ve been yelling, “No WAY!” interspersed with jumpy handclaps and fist pumps complete with deep lunges. “Yessss!” It is Tom Cruise on the couch x10 today.
